Birds of prey capture our imagination because they seem so regal, so commanding, so powerful. There is something about the cry of a hawk that makes the soul soar just as the bird itself soars.
Eagles are majestic, hawks are spirited, owls are mysterious, and falcons are powerful for their size.
Nature photography by its nature (no pun intended) is a touch-and-go kind of art. A photographer typically takes hundreds (NO exaggeration) of photos before even one makes the cut. Photographing birds, particularly birds in flight, present extra obstacles such as hard lighting conditions, shy (or sometimes overly aggressive) subjects, distance, size, and speed of the birds.
That being said, if you are a bird-lover, then no thrill quite exceeds capturing a picture of a beautiful bird in her native habitat. Kari has spent thousands of hours outside photographing birds. Please enjoy the fruits of her labor.
