Animal Photography (Wild animals in Nature as well as domesticated animals from our lives)
Animals have a big impact on our lives. From our pets -- dogs, cats, horses, etc -- to wild animals in our environment, we can’t imagine a world without them, and who would even want to try?
When we don’t have animals near, we even surround ourselves with pictures of them. Pictures of our own dear pets or photos of animals in the wild.
Beautiful dog or cat pictures make us smile, cute kitten pictures make us sigh, beautiful horse photos make us remember what it means to be free. But it’s not just our pets that affect us so deeply. Whenever we see a funny animal picture, we laugh. Whenever we see a wild cougar or wolf picture, our heart leaps. Whenever we spot a wild fawn or squirrel photo, our heart melts.
On some level we feel connected to the animals in our lives and we treasure the photographs that remind us of those connections.
While it is true it is easier to capture a domesticated animal on film, participating in the precarious “sport” of wild animal photography is truly rewarding.
If you are an animal-lover yourself, or know one, an animal photo makes a wonderful gift.
