The summertime brings more beautiful flowers, like gladioli, wildflowers, orchids, and lilies.  In “Pink Tiger Lily Flower Photo” Kari abstracts the flower to make its “personality” show more.  In “Daisy Dance Photo” the daisy is an energetic free spirit.  In “Closed Gladiola with Raindrops Photo” the gladiola is more placid and elegant.

In addition to a greater abundance of flowers, in summer we see more birds and other animals.  Birds, migrating back to their summer grounds, are frequently seen in the air flying or just heard in the distance.  Mammals, such as chipmunks, rabbits, and deer are seen scampering about the fields and forests.

The light spring green of the trees and bushes turns a darker, deeper shade and there seems to be an explosion of leaves of every kind all around. 

Waterfalls and smaller cascades trickle and flow over rocks and pebbles.  Mother Nature paints numerous abstract pictures with her wind, water, plants, and animals.

The sounds of both insects and birds fill the air with their symphonies or cacophonies depending both the noise of the “musician” as well as the tastes of the audience.

Just as in springtime when Life says “I’m awakening,”  in summertime it says, “I’m here.”
